Pilot Catastrophe is a family owned independant adjusting firm that is deeply community focused. We were excited when we met familar faces at an FBFS hosted training event in New Mexico. We are glad they joined the team and are excited to move forward with them as part of the ACA team. Greg Stoke and Rob Uhler should be joining us at conference in March in Iowa.
The ACA is excited to announce that Nohr Wortmann Engineering has increased their sponsorship to a Gold Level. Chris and the team are great supporters of the ACA and helped us build great content for multiple years to present at our annual conference but was also a driving force for our one day property training event - Grain Bin Adjusting and Underwriting. If you are a property adjuster in need of grain bin expertise, you will want Nohr Wortmann's number in your phone. A discussion with Chris is free to ACA members but if you need him on your claim, get it approved and ask Chris to invoice you. Thank You Nohr Wortmann Engineering!
Here is the gist, if as an independent adjuster you provided services in any state has a modified pathway to licensure without the requirements of an exam, fingerprinting, and background check as long as you get the application in no later than October 1, 2025. Read the full bulletin here. Update 1 August - The license request can be completed on-line and is free. Something I learned during the process is that you must have a $50,000 Surety bond to have the license, so went and did some research and got one from my personal insurance company that already had an Iowa independant bond available. Generally speaking, it's $10 per $1,000. The company agreed that premium would be paid once approved otherwise print it, label it void, and send it back.
Alacrity Solutions is our newest member company and we are excited to work with them as they work towards adding Agriculture P&C claims as a line of business. In addition to being a member company, they have a significant pool of IAs that have registered with the ACA with many becoming individual members. We look forward to working with them, helping meet their needs, providing support, and connecting resources to their requirements. Welcome to the ACA Team.
FE2 is a Mechanical/Electrical Forensic Engineering firm specializing in FE2 agricultural losses, heavy and mobile equipment failures, vehicle accident reconstruction and downloads, expert witness services, and loss control. The ACA welcomes HMI as the newest bronze sponsor. Doug Malawsky, HMI's COO, presented on "Hydroponic Greenhouse Property Losses" at the 2024 conference and has agreed to present again at our next conference on "Assessing Vineyard Damage." HMI provides a host of services to adjusters, and the industry alike, on matters associated with agricultural claims. Welcome, and we appreciate your support!
